It took well over an hour.  It has washed this often and has go very annoying.  I will turn of the automobile updates to cut down on this.

However, I need to know how to stop this process for futurity reference.

I volition endeavour and plough off auto updates as in the instructions and hopefully this will aid.

However, in reading the past comments on this matter it seems that nosotros merely have the choice to set the time of when it actually happens.

I'm not happy with MS at all.  They are becoming a large brother type.

If yous accept Windows x Professional, Enterprise or Instruction editions, in that location is a way to preclude it downloading/installing updates automatically - it will still harass you lot daily when information technology finds new updates, simply there's no forced install (until yous reboot).

My estimator says "Configuring update for Windows 10' 0% complete Do Not Turn off your Computer" only it won't get past 0%.  How do I stop the update.  Fifty-fifty turning off my estimator doesn't work.  The Window+I or W or any other key doesn't cease information technology either.  I have no access to my computer with this unsuccessful update going on.

My computer just shows circle of dots going round and round. I'm upgrading from Windows 8.1 to x. Started download at 9 a.m. And I saw it go through updates and reboots. Information technology's almost v:30 p.thou.im going to leave it running overnight. If it's still running tomorrow I will try shutting downward ... ? Help please!

you can stop your windows 10 updating process only by going to chore manager and end the windows 10 updating process
